Rob, my hero!

Thanks for saving me!

I don’t think there is anything that terrifies me more than a snake. I was giving Aliya breakfast when from the corner of my eye I saw a snake hanging over the couch; except when I actually looked at it it was just the computer cord. “There’s no snake in the house…” I mumbled to myself. After dropping Aliya to school I came in the house put Kaden in his bouncy chair, made a cup of coffee and sat down at the computer to do some work. After accidentally knocking over my coffee I started to walk into the kitchen to grab a towel when much to my chagrin an unexpected, unwelcome and unappreciated visitor sat square in the middle of the entrance to the kitchen. I quickly summoned Rob home to save the day. Meanwhile Kaden is still in his chair only 5 feet from the slithering being. Terrified to startle the snake I was unsure how to get him. Poor kid, first he almost was eaten by a gator and now a snake. I crept up to Kaden slowly and rescued him and once Rob made it home he rescued both of us, and the snake. Rob caught him and released him by the lake across the street from our house. Smart snake dropped of the last few inches of his tail, like a lizard would do, to distract Rob. Cool but creepy. Now I can’t put my feet down without checking every step I take and around every corner. And seriously how weird was my premonition?
