Puppy
Our smart little girl solved her problem. She doesn’t want to let whatever she is playing with go but can’t seem to crawl if it is in her hand; so she carries it around in her mouth. She looks like such a little puppy. My favorite was when I caught her carrying around her shoe, she couldn’t be cuter
Mother Goose
Nanima and Nanabapa read Ali lots of nursery rhymes from her new mother goose book. My favorite was
‘Lucy Locket had a pocket
Kittie Fisher found it
Nothing in it
Nothing in it but a little ribbon round it.’ It wasn’t in the book;
My dad has this one memorized from when he was a small child.

Adams first white hair
Yes, Adam donned his first white hair at the ripe old age of 19. I think the stress of college life is getting to him, you know the partying, the friends, the girlfriends, oh and the studying. Poor kid he actually has been studying hard I hope he makes it though this semester with no other causalities to his dark locks.
Celebrating one year!
Celebrating one year of surviving with cancer was joyful. We made it and mom is in remission! It was defiantly a time to celebrate! Of course everything had to be pink right down to the cake. It was really nice because we actually celebrated twice!

Mom is a one year breast cancer survivor!
It is time to celebrate, it has been one year since mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She made it through chemo and now she is on the road to recovery! Though she will never be cancer free she is in remission and we couldn't be happier. Mom is the bravest, strongest and toughest person I know. She handled cancer with a kick ass attitude and grace. We are so proud of her. Her hair is growing back as curly as can be but I miss her perfectly shaped bald head. She rocks and we are overjoyed that she has survived her first of many many years! We love you mom!

10 Months
She’s hit the double digits! 10 months and just as perfect as ever! Over the last month she has developed leaps and bounds! Her personality is emerging and Rob and I couldn’t be happier or luckier to have her. Aliya is an amazing person, daughter, and friend. We love every cell in her little body!
Some new things
1. High Five- We eat dinner together every night and Ali has started to high five. She always goes to Rob first and twist over to me. The best part is she only knows how to high five double. She can’t just do it to one person so if either Rob or I are not there she is just stuck with her up in the air waiting to be high-fived! It is so cute!
2. First Word?- She now waves and says bye-bye! I melt as does everyone else who sees her. She knows the action of waving goes along with the word bye-bye but she has no idea what it means, thus the question mark behind first word. Does it count as a first word if there is no meaning attached to it? I don’t think so. She babbles so much that I know it won’t be long till she is talking away!
3. Furniture Walking- She can crawl as quick as a rabbit. She is now holding on to anything to walk around, It won’t be long till she takes her first steps. Aliya’s growing up so fast.
4. Getting into everything!- Anything she is not suppose to touch she does! She is into everything! She still loves wires and we are trying to break her of chewing on them. She is figuring out the baby proofing we did and learning to undo it to get into the entertainment cabinet. Naughty girl!
5. Eating- She can chew food! I mean big pieces of food not little baby pieces but real pieces of food! It is so much easier to feed her now and she is actually eating food! I love it!
6. Playing games- This is our favorite thing she does! Between the high fives and feeding us from her plate, Ali plays games with us at the dinner table! Rob makes a funny noise, (right now its Ayyy, in the style of Fonzie from Happy Days,) and she just starts cracking up. Her laughing makes us all laugh and we have the best dinners ever! She is so funny and her personality is unbelievably awesome!
Aliya is so smart and learns things so quickly. I am so proud of her and continue to be amazed by her daily. Now if I could just get her to sleep through the night she’d be perfect, (she’s perfect regardless!)
We love our 10 month old!

Icecream Truck
We were checking out the house that we are planning on buying and we hear the sweet sound that instantly transports us back more than 20 years, the sound of an icecream truck driving down the road. We, just like we did more than 20 years ago, ran out to meet it. Ali had her first icecream sandwhich off her first icecream truck. It made the neighborhood so much more appealing and all we wanted was to move in!
Playplace
We had the whole playplace to ourselves and we took advantage of it. I was on the floor playing and taking pictures of my cutie. She is becoming such a big girl.
