Aliya has been 5 months old for a couple of weeks now and I have to say 5 month old Aliya is my favorite Aliya so far! Her personality is starting to emerge and she is so fun! When she wakes up in the morning she is in such a good mood and lays in bed with me babbling while I slowly awaken. We go to the changing table and she lifts her legs so I can easily change her diaper, what a sweet girl, already helping me! She opens her mouth for her toothbrush. She shuts her eyes tight in anticipation of her face being washed. She hates it but allows me to do it every morning anyway and smiles at me when I finish. Aliya hates having t-shirts/onesies/dresses going over her head! She hates having her face covered! She loves to take a bath and splash water. She loves to watch Maddi and smiles at her when Maddi shakes or itches. Aliya loves to be out and about. She goes a little stir crazy if we stay home all day. She loves to watch people, especially other kids. Aliya does not like to be startled or scared. She become shy sometimes and buries her head in my chest when smiling at someone else. Aliya loves my cell phone and camera and thinks they taste so good! She is also a pro at pushing buttons on the laptop, she watches me play on the computer and then slams her hand down on the keyboard to help me out! Aliya is not a big fan of her carseat but tolerates it most of the time. She loves her family especially her daddy! Aliya loves to go for walks and doesn't fuss at the cold or wind. She actually loves wind or having her face blown on. I love the way she is using her hands and how she constantly moves them in a waving motion and scratches with her fingers. When she nurses she tickles my back and her warm fingers feel so good on my skin. She has learned to sit and now rides in the seat of a shopping cart when we go out. She is just so great and fun!

She is so perfect! I love her little personality showing through too. I think one of my favorite things she does is when she smiles and tucks her head like she is shy. Her little two tooth smile gets about as wide as she can make it and then she just dives for your shoulder like she's so shy about her big beautiful smile. I love you guys together. I hate that I am missing so much of it right now, but I am so glad each one of you has the other. Love you guys.
