Nana bought some plastic Butterflies for Aliya and it inspired me to make this great mobile. I found the perfect stick from the yard from the tree that fell on our roof and with ribbon and a hook you get this-

that smile
Its a new trick and I am so in love. If I thought I loved him before its nothing like when I get a smile. Sometime I get one just by looking at him other times I have to talk to him but he never makes it hard, he happily gives them away to me and I scoop them up and store them all away.
totally rad outfit
Shes obsessed with her crab pjs and her rainboots so obviously they should be worn together! Forget that the rainboots are too big and she has them on the wrong feet, she puts them on and clunks around. I feel like she should be on a fishing boat in Maine.

Mee-yah do it!
She has to help, even though her help takes twice as long. That strong desire to learn and be involved in everything is unbelievably inspiring. She does not take 'no' for an answer. What if we never allowed anyone to tell us 'no', can you imagine where our lives would have taken us? Not only that but she refuses to accept any help. "Ee-yah do it!" or as she has now started to say 'Mee-yah do it' a hybrid of 'Me' and 'Ee-yah' a word she has come up with as she transitions from refereeing to herself in the third person. Of all her little classmates she is the only one who can put on her own shoes; that comes from pure determination. Undoing the Velcro, slipping her foot in, making sure the heel is inside the back rim, and revelcroing it. Half the time she gets them on the right feet!

Bansky
Street Art most of the time is abysmal and angers me when I see the destruction of property. But, I suppose, it can be a true art form if a "real" artist is doing the work. The whole world is a canvas then. I stumbled upon Bansky, a world renowned street artist whose work is so very interesting. He has graffitied everywhere but is based out of Britain. One of my favorite pieces is graffiti on a wall in the West Bank Palestine of a little girl flying away by balloons.

White, please!
Savoring every drip, she swirls the cool cream in her mouth and lets it run down her chin and onto her shirt already soiled with juices from a variety of fruits. I start to ask her what kind of ice cream is her favorite and she blurts out "white" before I can even finish. She now also likes 'pink'. Nana treated her to the cone above on their outing to the zoo.

flowers
Growing from a seed with some love and water she watches her sunflower. She loves planting with her dad and he love planting with her. They stir the soil, push in the seeds, water it and watch. Everyday they watch their plant grow and everyday I watch as she grows and awe at the miracle of life.
Adam Mama
He said "Can we please pick her up early from school, I want to hang out with her?" I did and she ran all the way home in anticipation of playing with Adam Mama. He thinks shes so cool now that she can hold a conversation with him. She thinks he is so cool because no one can play with her the way he does.
